Create your own Salish style drum. Each participant will construct a drum by stretching deer hide over a wooden frame. To complete this project, participants will also make a drumstick. This class teaches the basics of drumming, care of your drum and designing elements.
CEDAR MAT
Cost: $30.00
Create your own Salish style cedar mat. Each participant will use 12 pieces of red or yellow cedar and will learn step by step how the mat is constructed. This class teachs the importance of the cedar tree and what the cedar tree means to the Sto:lo.
